According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder,
I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Mount Vernon, the church on the hill, has grown spiritually, financially and in number over its 143 years of service and has served as a place of refuge for a community of believers. Many have gathered and worshipped in this brick building we lovingly call "Mt. Vernon"; but most know that it is the people and not the physical building that is the church and that the church is nothing without the presence of the Lord. Last year's theme "Building and Growing Together" references our continued renovations to the building itself, but also it witnesses to the individual growth of members of the flock under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Brown. Mount Vernon has a solid foundation in the Lord. Our prayer is for continued growth and expansion as we support and embrace one another. May we carry on in His great works.
